Dacia Spring: what to expect from the new product
EN / Autospeed.lv autonews
The Dacia Spring is a concept that anticipates the first mass-produced electric model in the brand's history. Dacia Spring was to make its public debut at the Geneva motor show, which closed its doors due to the coronavirus epidemic. The concept was presented and revealed online with a modern, bold look and colorful accents.
Just 3 meters and 73 inches long, the Dacia Spring is 23 inches shorter than the small-class model of the new Peugeot 208/e208 type, but about 13 inches longer than the Skoda Citigo/Citigo e iV.
The electric Dacia will be based on the Renault City K-ZE electric model, which is being built and sold already in China. Photos of the mini-electric SUV show the car with orange elements on the dark grille, on the doors with plastic strips, on the fenders with protection made of the same material, and on the door handles.
Renault keeps a secret about the interior of the model, which may be identical to the K-ZE. So we are dealing with a custom interior that can get colorful accents. No configuration has been revealed, but it is likely that Renault will provide the Spring with a more powerful engine than the 45 horsepower with which the City K-ZE is equipped. The battery with a capacity of 26.8 kW / h should provide it with autonomy of up to 200 kilometers. The French say the first electric Dacia will cost between 15,000 and 20,000 euros, meaning it will be the most affordable zero-emission car on the market.
