Automobili Lamborghini is stepping up measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. In support of the latest directives of the Italian government, the Sant'agata Bolognese plant will close from 13 to 25 March 2020 inclusive.
Stefano Domenicali, President and chief Executive officer of Automobili Lamborghini, said: "this measure is an act of social responsibility and concern for our people in the emergency situation we face in Italy today, and which is also evident abroad. As we have done so far, we continue to monitor the situation to respond quickly and effectively with the support of our employees and to be able to resume energy operations at the right time.
Today, almost all industrial or production work in Italy is suspended, with the exception of strategic facilities. According to doctors, the coronavirus infection in Italy will recede by mid-April. Until then, the country is being quarantined. An important factor is that these actions to some extent helped to stop the development and spread of the disease throughout the country. However, the situation remains extremely difficult.
